Post Interview Feedback

Many people will always talk about the build up to a job interview, but there’s not a lot said after interviews, especially unsuccessful interviews. However, there’s no way to improve on your interview technique without knowing where you’ve gone wrong.

This is why post interview feedback is important and all it can take is a telephone call or an email; asking the interviewer why he or she decided against employing you. Feedback can make sure you improve important areas, and ultimately do better in your next interview, potentially gaining a job.

In cases where there are high volumes of interviews you may not always be able to get relevant and helpful feedback. You should always be fully prepared when asking for post interview feedback, and it’s important to make sure you use any negative comments to push you in the future, rather than let it get the better of your confidence.
